6. The Story Behind the Logo
Ferrari’s famous prancing horse logo is not a reference to the car’s speed and power (although it certainly is apt). The logo is the same symbol used by Count Francesco Baracca, an ace in the Italian Air Force. However, before adopting the logo for the company, Enzo Ferrari opted to change the background from original to yellow, resulting in today’s distinct logo.
